If you're heading to the game, the Panthers (7-3) host the Lakers (6-4) in the opening round of the playoffs. The Murray Ledger and Times lists kickoff at 6:30 Central.

This one's a repeat of last year's first round, when the Panthers won 42-7. Both teams look different now. Last season the Lakers' offense ran through senior running back Logan Smith, who had over 1,600 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

  • Lakers: second straight playoff trip after a 6-4 season
  • Calloway's 6-4 ties last year's best regular season since 2016
  • Since 2016, the Lakers have made the playoffs just five times
  • Panthers' lineup last year was mostly sophomores, now juniors

The Wrap

Sixty years ago this week, a storm on Nov. 2-3, 1966, blanketed much of Kentucky and Tennessee, and Elizabethtown and the Louisville area measured around a foot. Bowling Green got about 8 inches. This weekend's highs in the 50s and 60s feel pretty kind by comparison.
