- ➤ At the 72nd annual Crusade for Children, Elizabethtown supporters raised more than $154,000 as part of a $5.89 million effort over the weekend to help children with special needs in Kentucky and southern Indiana. - ➤ A Hardin County woman admitted she tried to smother her child with a pillow on University Drive in Radcliff Saturday night + she was charged with first‐degree strangulation and first‐degree criminal abuse of a child and held at Hardin County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond. K105

- ➤ A new Kentucky law, Senate Bill 181, takes effect later this month and requires school district employees and volunteers to use only designated and traceable systems to contact students—this means no texts, personal emails, or social media.
