- ➤ The American Red Cross of South Central Kentucky will install free smoke alarms and offer fire safety education to Elizabethtown households on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Teams will help families check for expired alarms and create evacuation plans—volunteers are needed to support the effort. - ➤ The Central Hardin community mourned the loss of two high school juniors who died Monday — local residents gathered in support as officials provided resources for grieving families. The News-Enterprise

- ➤ Students in Hardin County Water District No. 2 are invited to apply for scholarships totaling up to $30,000 provided by the Burton and Barbara Langley Family Foundation and the water district.
