The American Red Cross of South Central Kentucky will install free smoke alarms and offer fire safety education to Elizabethtown households on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Teams will help families check for expired alarms and create evacuation plans—volunteers are needed to support the effort.

The Central Hardin community mourned the loss of two high school juniors who died Monday — local residents gathered in support as officials provided resources for grieving families.
