At Hardin County Chamber of Commerce’s March luncheon held Wednesday, local mayors honored longtime residents Barbara Proffitt (Mama) and Mike Bell (Brother) for their dedication as they received official proclamations and keys to the city.

Kentucky lawmakers approved Senate Bill 191, which sets up a pilot program to pay child care providers and low-income parents $2,000 if their children meet kindergarten readiness standards.
