- ➤ Hardin County Animal Shelter in Elizabethtown features Chicken Nugget, a 2-year-old Pettie, and Clara, a 2-year-old cat in the 9th Annual Howliday Special through Dec. 20. - ➤ The Hardin County Chamber hosted its final Taste of the Holidays Luncheon (known as Hog Fest) Tuesday, marking 2025 with record attendance and 58 ribbon-cutting events. Chamber CEO Kendra Scott said the group will build on current success and expand programming in 2026. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ SK On announced Thursday it will end its joint venture with Ford for battery plants — retaining the Tennessee facility while Ford keeps the Kentucky One and Kentucky Two units in Glendale. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Ford ended its joint venture with SK On to build EV batteries at BlueOvalSK Battery Park in Glendale, leaving the $5.8B plant’s future uncertain. Ford will take sole control of the facility, and Governor Beshear said more details on job impacts are expected next week. WKYU-FM

- ➤ HCS bus drivers were recognized for perfect attendance at a school event in Elizabethtown. The award ceremony highlighted their consistent reliability & important role in supporting students' daily routines. The News-Enterprise
