  • Lincoln Trail area employers can access abundant upskilling resources to train new hires & reduce recruitment costs. This effort aims to boost productivity and support local businesses.  The News-Enterprise

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Baptist Health and the Kentucky Career Center offer free EMT B training in 30 slots; the 180 hour course covers textbook, background check fees plus job fair, runs online with sessions at Lincoln Trail on 233 Ring Road in Elizabethtown, with applications due Dec. 20. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Snow fell early Tuesday in Hardin County — experts said one to three inches affected soybean and corn harvests. Local farmers are now reviewing crop conditions.  The News-Enterprise

  • State officials warned Kentuckians that a fake survey scam is circulating via text (offering a $250 reward for survey completion) and urged residents to avoid clicking unknown links that risk personal information.  K105

HEALTH NEWS

  • The FDA upgraded the recall on shredded cheeses sold at major retailers across 31 states, including local stores, for possible metal fragments and recalled grated Pecorino Romano products for listeria; customers are urged to discard these items + request refunds.  WKYU-FM

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Tillie, a 1-year-old chocolate dog weighing 50 pounds, and Ralph, a 7-month-old white short hair kitten are available for adoption at the Hardin County Animal Shelter. The shelter is hosting its 9th Annual Howliday Special through Dec. 20 and is offering $25 adult dog adoptions when new children’s toy+gift cards are donated.  Quicksie 98.3
