COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Brown-Pusey House, a historic building in downtown Elizabethtown, will host a new holiday event that brings Christmas early — the event is set to offer festive activities within its notable setting.  The News-Enterprise
  • Bernheim Forest will host its Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.—visitors can enjoy holiday music, refreshments, hourly giveaways and handcrafted gifts from local Kentucky artisans in a free event.  Quicksie 98.3
  • Wreaths Across America reached its goal and is preparing to lay wreaths at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff on December 13+ last year's ceremony saw Chad Hogan placing a wreath on a veteran’s grave to honor service members.  The News-Enterprise
  • Residents in Vine Grove and nearby areas will attend a Christmas event and auction on Friday+ they are set to support a community cause for children+ through local donations.  The News-Enterprise

  • Abound Credit Union was honored with four awards at the 2025 MAC Awards—recognizing its strong marketing initiatives.  The News-Enterprise

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Hardin County EMS has added its ninth full-time ambulance unit at the West Hardin Fire and Rescue station in White Mills—this new unit is expected to cut average response times from 30 minutes to 15 minutes, as stated by Judge/Executive Keith Taul at a push-in ceremony Monday. The extra ambulance joins others in the county to boost emergency care for residents.  Quicksie 98.3

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health officials warn that a mutated strain of Influenza A H3N2 is spreading and may lead to a severe flu season—residents are urged to get a flu shot now since the trivalent vaccine takes 10—14 days to build protection and is available at local pharmacies and clinics.  K105
  • Baptist Health Hardin and Kentucky Blood Center will host a blood drive Friday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.—residents are invited to donate and help ease blood shortages.  The News-Enterprise
