COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Melissa Miller, a Hardin County Farm Bureau board member and executive director of the Kentucky 4-H Foundation — who has served on several committees for the organization — was named the 2025 Generation Bridge Advocate of the Year by Kentucky Farm Bureau, recognizing her leadership in bridging generations.  Quicksie 98.3

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce will offer a new ornament that honors ties with Fort Knox—residents can buy it this Christmas as a nostalgic gift of local history.  The News-Enterprise

EDUCATION NEWS

  • High school juniors from six Hardin County schools gathered at the Hardin County Cooperative Extension Service for an annual conference + learned about the business world.  The News-Enterprise
  • Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will open its 2026–27 scholarship application on December 1 — only one application is needed to be considered for over 50 scholarship opportunities.  The News-Enterprise
  • The T.K. Stone Pool was renamed the William Godfrey Aquatic Center to honor a man whose family has been synonymous with Elizabethtown swimming—his legacy now lives on in the school’s aquatic program.  The News-Enterprise
  • Elizabethtown Community and Technical College reported a 58.7 percent graduation rate for 2024-2025, nearly 20 percent above the national average, and a 79.6 percent fall course success rate up from 31 percent eight years ago (showing steady progress). ECTC President Dr. Juston Pate said the figures prove the college meets the needs of a busy and diverse student body.  Quicksie 98.3
