- ➤ Hardin County Animal Shelter in Elizabethtown is hosting its 9th Annual Howliday Special until December 20th and is featuring two adoptable dogs—Scout, a 1-year-old hound weighing 38 pounds, and Maybelline, a 1-year-old pittie weighing 50 pounds—while offering $25 adult adoptions when you bring a children’s toy or a $25 gift card to help Benchmark Family Services, with shelter hours Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Quicksie 98.3

- ➤ Elizabethtown Community and Technical College was named to the 2025 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges list — the honor recognizes the school’s commitment to assisting veterans. The News-Enterprise

- ➤ Kentucky Congressman Morgan McGarvey paid tribute to UPS plane crash victims yesterday on the House floor by reading all 14 names, including 3 crew members who died on the plane and 11 who died in the aftermath (lawmakers observed a moment of silence). WLKY
- ➤ Fort Knox will hold a Thanksgiving meal at Cantigny Warrior Restaurant on Nov. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.—everyone in the area is welcome to join the feast. The News-Enterprise
- ➤ The Elizabethtown Police Department is accepting nonperishable food donations for its annual Cram the Cruiser campaign until November 26; a donation box is set up at Cruiser No. 175 (with drop-off bins to be placed at local Kroger and Walmart next Monday) to help local families during the holiday season.
