Elizabethtown honors its servicemen and veterans today with a Veterans Day motorcade and ceremony.

Participants will gather at American Legion Park at 9:45 a.m.—the motorcade departs at 10:30 a.m. and the ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at Nature Park.

Hometown Hangout in Leitchfield is offering ‘The Blue Plate,’ a free meal of cheeseburger, fries and a drink from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. until the government shutdown ends—helping customers facing food and aid shortages.
