ECONOMY NEWS

  • Support for Fort Knox growth is set to energize the local workforce in the Lincoln Trail region with new job opportunities. The community will also honor its veterans on November 11 for their service.  The News-Enterprise

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Beshear confirmed that partial SNAP payments for nearly (600,000) Kentuckians will begin processing Thursday after federal funding was secured amid the government shutdown, and benefits will be staggered over the month.  WLKY
  • Elizabethtown government announced it will feed 1,000 families to help residents facing food insecurity, with the plan inspired by successful pandemic support measures— the program will begin soon.  The News-Enterprise

HEALTH NEWS

  • Baptist Health Hardin held a free overdose simulation event yesterday at Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center to reenact a local teen overdose and offer a Q&A session by community experts — the simulation aimed to show protective steps for families. The event began at 6:30 p.m. — all residents were welcome to attend.  Quicksie 98.3
