Registration is open for Helping Hand of Hope's annual Christmas assistance program that supports local families in need by letting them pick presents for their children in partnership with area churches and schools.
Registrations must be completed in October—tuesdays and Thursdays at the Colvin Community Center and 200 College Street Road, with a sign-up day on October 25 at Helping Hand of Hope.
United Way of Central Kentucky will host two community events tomorrow at their headquarters at 604 North Main Street.
They will show 1991’s The Addams Family outdoor at dusk with free refreshments, face painting, lawn games and a surprise appearance, and will run an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that offers a $10 Amazon gift card to donors through October 19.
Organizers said the Annual Crossing Festival will go on Saturday in Glendale — even though rain is expected.
They confirmed the event will take place as planned.
Elizabethtown parents with children under 5 are encouraged to register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to receive a free book every month.
Eight Hardin County homes will be showcased this weekend during the annual Parade of Homes presented by the Lincoln Trail Home Builders Association+ the event will display both modern and traditional house designs for local visitors.
