  • Community members gathered at the Hardin County Fairgrounds to honor David Bewley at a memorial tractor pull — the cheers and roaring engines filled the fairgrounds in tribute to his legacy. The event brought everyone together to celebrate his impact.  The News-Enterprise

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students and alumni at Central Hardin High School can donate a book to the Honor Library to thank teachers and staff—this program shows appreciation for their work in education.  The News-Enterprise
  • Students in Jennifer Weaver’s class — with help from Heartland Ambucs — built two tricycles for children with disabilities at T.K. Stone Middle School on Thursday as part of a STEM project, and Weaver said the project gave the students a chance to use new skills while serving the community.  Quicksie 98.3

HEALTH NEWS

  • Radcliff Deputy Fire Marshal Tommy Crane advised residents to check lithium-ion battery products and use the proper cables during Fire Prevention Week—which runs through October 11—to help reduce fire hazards. He urged everyone to research products carefully and recycle old batteries safely once they are past their prime.  Quicksie 98.3
