Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland opened a 12,000-square-foot facility in Bowling Green to store food for partner agencies in counties such as Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Simpson, and Warren.
The center will support the Farms to Food Bank Program—expanding access to Kentucky-grown produce to help address rising food insecurity.
Sugar Plum and Monkey—two dogs seeking forever homes—are featured this week at Hardin County Animal Shelter in Elizabethtown, which will also host a rabies clinic.
The shelter welcomes visitors at 220 Peterson Drive Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and can be reached at 270-769-3428.
