- ➤ The Hardin County Schools Board of Education met on Wednesday to approve tax rates that will remain unchanged for 2025—26. This decision will keep the current fee for local school funding in the coming academic year. The News-Enterprise
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State lawmakers said that fiscal year 2025 ended with a surplus and extra funds went to the Budget Reserve Trust Fund to keep services like schools and police strong. They will lower the individual income tax to 3.5% on January 1 and will watch how federal changes in SNAP under H.R. 1 affect the state—keeping an eye on error rates to save money. K105
