On Friday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m., the Grayson Springs Chapter of DAR will hold a remembrance at Leitchfield Town Square to honor 9/11 heroes by displaying banners and distributing challenge coins+ churches will ring bells at 8:46 a.m. in memory of the attacks.
🏛️ Government
Kentucky's Public Service Commission started an investigation into rising gas and electricity bills that may affect local households.
The study will check if residents can keep their utilities affordable (a key effort to protect basic access).
Gov. Andy Beshear called for an end to tax incentives for data centers during his weekly press conference on Thursday, saying the wealthy companies can fund these projects without state help.
Lawmakers plan to review the policy when the General Assembly returns in January.

Raylee Hougland, aged 16, from Breckinridge County High School suffered a serious leg injury during Tuesday night's soccer contest with the Lady Cougars at Grayson County High School and was airlifted by EMS; she is now home recovering after treatment in Louisville.
