CRIME NEWS

  • This Sunday marks the fifth anniversary of Radcliff teen Rosalyn Velazquez's disappearance as Radcliff Police continue to follow up on leads using search warrants, phone records plus active social media monitoring with support from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  Quicksie 98.3

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Hardin County Teen Court is inviting area high school students and their parents to an open house and mock trial at the Hardin County Justice Center on August 28 at 6:30 p.m.—students will receive a program overview and see volunteers act as attorneys, bailiffs, clerks and jury members in juvenile cases. Hardin District Judge Kimberly Shumate said the event will help students understand the trial process and prepare them for future participation.  Quicksie 98.3

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Councilwoman Josie Raymond launched a public survey to collect ideas for Klondike Park improvements as the city partners with JCPS on a six-figure investment for a new playground behind Klondike Lane Elementary—feedback will help shape the playground planned for next spring and a community event on Sept. 14 will let residents talk with city representatives.  WLKY
