- ➤ On August 20th, flames tore through the Vine Grove fire station in Hardin County at about 2:30 a.m.—destroying equipment including three firetrucks as neighboring departments stepped in and investigators work to determine the cause amid community prayers. WLKY

- ➤ Nearly four years after the September 2021 project announcement, BlueOval SK announced on Tuesday that production began at its Kentucky 1 plant in Glendale—transforming an empty field into a modern facility that makes batteries for the Ford F150 Lightning and eTransit. Currently, 1,450 workers are on the 1500 acre site, and the plant marks a key milestone in boosting Kentucky’s EV battery industry. Quicksie 98.3

- ➤ State law enforcement and the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety are working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to run the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign until September 1.
