Nearly 200 guests attended the Dirty Dog Bash hosted by Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter this past Saturday—events including a beer and wine bottle pull and both live and silent auctions raised over $40,000 to support the new low-cost spay and neuter clinic in the midst of a capital campaign.

A new Head Start preschool opened in Elizabethtown to serve 64 preschoolers with affordable child care—offering speech and occupational therapy as well as free meals.
