CRIME NEWS
- ➤ During a child custody exchange Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. on Hayden School Road near the regional airport, a recently separated man shot his wife then killed himself while transferring custody of their six-year-old son (the child was unharmed). K105
- ➤ Two men charged with conspiracy to commit murder at the Radcliff Waffle House will go to trial on Sept. 29— the trial will address the double homicide case. The News-Enterprise
- ➤ Steven Lawson requested a new trial but the prosecution said his defense showed no grounds for it—explaining that arrangements were made for his trial review and his sentencing hearing is scheduled for today in Nelson Circuit Court following his conviction on May 30 for felony charges. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ John Hardin High School FFA received a $2,500 Living to Serve grant from a national organization and will use the funds to buy trapping equipment for a trap-neuter-release program aimed at reducing cat overpopulation in the area—Dr. Vasi Wilk and Ag. Education students will perform the procedures at the school’s PAWS Veterinary Clinic. Quicksie 98.3
