EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Hardin County Schools has implemented the Thrillshare communication app to meet Senate Bill 181's traceable messaging requirement, and teachers and coaches can now send messages in secure rooms while parents must update their school district app ahead of classes starting Thursday (the system began before the law took effect on July 1). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Radcliff Police Department is accepting registrations for its Citizens Police Academy, which is open to residents over 18 who are not convicted felons. The academy will run Monday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. starting September 22 through November 10 (applications must be submitted by August 31) and will include simulated firearms training, ride-alongs and other law enforcement activities. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Hardin County EMS invites school-age children and their families to join the Teddy Bear Clinic at headquarters today from 10 a.m. to noon so kids learn basic first aid using teddy bears as practice patients for emergencies. Quicksie 98.3
