EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is hosting Express Enrollment from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 12-14 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 15 so that students can meet an advisor, select classes, and ask about financial aid and course details. New students start at the Student Success Hub while returning students begin at the Welcome and Admissions Center, and classes start on August 18. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ A back-to-school celebration took place at the top of Skyline Drive in Elizabethtown to ease school-year stress for local families—organizers aimed to provide a relaxed start for students and parents. The News-Enterprise
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ In August, the Kentucky Blood Center is offering its Summer of Saving promotion for blood donors, where one donor giving blood at any KBC center or mobile drive between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 will win 52 $200 Kroger gift cards or a local equivalent and a chance to win free food from Texas Roadhouse.
