Hardin County Schools are finalizing classroom touches and hosting open houses as teachers and district leaders prepare for students to return next week.
Middle school open houses are held today from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. while high school open houses are scheduled for Thursday.

Elizabethtown City Council will support south-end businesses by using a plan modeled after the downtown redevelopment program.
The strategy is expected to boost local economic growth in upcoming council sessions.

The Lincoln Trail District Health Department is hosting the final three Back to School Bashes this week with education stations, immunizations, and dental varnishing and fun activities like coloring contests, games, and gift card giveaways in LaRue County on Tuesday, Hardin County on Wednesday, and Nelson County on Thursday.
