  • A new Mimosa Fest makes its bubbly debut Saturday in northern Hardin County—promising a festive event as the summer season begins.  The News-Enterprise

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A new nonprofit organization will host a back-to-school giveaway Saturday to help students get ready for the upcoming school year.  The News-Enterprise

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lawmakers met last week in Frankfort on joint committees to review the state budget, public education oversight and the role of artificial intelligence in schools. They also received updates on transportation projects including plans for an Interstate 69 bridge to begin construction in 2027 — and changes to road and vehicle regulations.  K105
  • Governor Andy Beshear announced on Wednesday that the White House approved Public Assistance for 64 counties hit on April 2 by severe storms, tornadoes, flooding, landslides and mudslides along with 36 counties affected by severe storms and tornadoes on May 16 and 17. More counties are expected to be approved soon as communities receive needed support.  Quicksie 98.3
