CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky State Police announced last Friday that Operation Summer Heat 2.0 made 197 arrests, including 30 in Elizabethtown, and officers seized over $640,000 in drugs, 82 firearms, and additional cash and property—more arrests are expected as the operation continues. Quicksie 98.3
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky residents received an Ian Alert on Tuesday from Cub Run (near Mammoth Cave) that uses the Amber Alert system to help find missing children with autism; the law was signed last year and is named after 9-year-old Ian Sousis who drowned in the Ohio River in 2022. Kentucky Emergency Management is reviewing the alert to develop internal policies for its implementation. WLKY
