Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed that two more people died from last week’s flash flooding in Hardin & Jefferson counties, raising the statewide death toll to six while emergency response efforts continue.

Secretary of State Michael Adams launched the Kentucky Time Capsule Project on Monday to mark America’s 250th anniversary, inviting residents to send photos, artwork, and messages for a modified bourbon barrel sealed until 2051.
The barrel is on display at Somerset Community College (Master Musicians Festival) until July 19.
