- ➤ Police in Hardin County arrested a couple from Radcliff on Tuesday morning after officers found them unresponsive in a car on North Fourth Street in West Point—authorities discovered drugs, a loaded gun and their baby inside, and the child was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital before being released to child protective services. - ➤ Today as drivers prepare for the Fourth of July holiday weekend, AAA reports that gas prices have dropped nationwide with Kentucky averaging $2.86 per gallon—Louisville at $3.01 and cities like Bowling Green, Lexington and Covington below that—while Indiana’s rates remain slightly above the national average. - ➤ The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office announced on Tuesday that after completing 12 county inquiries, no credible violations were found in the 2024 General Election—detectives confirmed the result. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ During the legislative interim, several committees met to review issues including child safety programs, local government digital records, veteran center repairs scheduled for completion by March 2027, Medicaid updates and capital projects for clean water and school renovations. They also discussed barriers for minority-owned businesses, artificial intelligence rules and disaster prevention—actions taken as preparation for the 2026 Regular Session, according to State Rep. - ➤ The Twin Lakes Beavers will host a baseball camp next week on Monday and Tuesday at the Kelly Stevenson Baseball Complex from 5:00 to 7:30 for players aged 7 to 12. The camp costs $50 and benefits the Leitchfield 10U travel team—coaches Issac Miller, Nick Spalding and Jeremy Dennis will lead rotations on pitching, hitting and fielding—so families can sign up for further instruction.
