A grant awarded to the Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board will help workers laid off from BlueOval SK, Kentucky Cooperage, and Akebono with job searches and training programs, officials said.
The initiative works with local employers to match skills with open positions + cover necessary job-related expenses.

Elizabethtown Fire Department donated its 2005 pumper and rescue truck to Stephensburg during a ceremony Wednesday at its headquarters.
This donation (the first of its kind) supports mutual aid and enhances emergency responses.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Four will begin roadwork on U.S. 31E along Lincoln Farm Road between Greensburg and Miller roads in Hodgenville on Monday, July 6.
The project will reconfigure lanes to add bike and pedestrian paths, easing congestion near key entrances.
