Unemployment in the Lincoln Trail District increased in May, with the average rate rising to 5.3 percent (Grayson County at 6.2 percent and Washington County at 4.2 percent) while Hardin County climbed to 5.6 percent from 5.1 percent in April.

Hardin County Schools' Dental Assisting Program marked its first year with success, offering practical dental training to community students.
