The Hardin County Fair (a local favorite) is set to offer a new twist on Christmas in July with fun attractions for local visitors.
It will bring a festive mix of farm culture and holiday cheer.
Residents planning bonfires or burn pits are advised to review local ordinances and follow guidelines at campgrounds (where designated burning areas exist) while keeping at least 15 feet from homes.
Fire officials urge using only clean wood, preparing fire-extinguishing tools, and monitoring dry, windy conditions.
Give 270, a local nonprofit in Elizabethtown, has announced a charitable raffle for a restored 1989 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition (with original interior) that gives community members a chance to win.

Baptist Health Hardin said its new facility on Centennial Avenue in Radcliff will open a freestanding emergency (and urgent) care center mid-September while a primary care office will open later in the fall.
The center is expected to employ 60 to 70 staff to better serve local patients.
