  • The Elizabethtown Police Department is working with Hope Academy for Kids Inc. on a school supply drive and accepts donations like flash drives, backpacks, and crayons dropped off at 300 South Mulberry Street—these supplies will help students start the school year strong.  Quicksie 98.3
  • The Historic State Theater will host its Summer Movie Series on Tuesday afternoons and evenings with Moana showing at noon and 7 p.m.—the lineup features sequels including Moana 2, Sing 1 and 2, Paddington 1 and 2, and Inside Out 1 and 2 while tickets cost only $1 with a $3 Kids Pack concession available.  Quicksie 98.3

  • Residents spent Tuesday cleaning up after Monday's flash flooding caused water to rise quickly along Freeman Lake Road—washing away part of a retaining wall and filling storm drains with debris. Neighbors said no major property damage occurred and they are not worried about additional rain.  WLKY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Kentucky saw temporary hair loss in some users of weight loss drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy & Zepbound due to rapid weight loss and stress. Health experts said the shedding was linked to metabolic changes rather than the drugs themselves and recommended a healthy diet with at least 1,000 calories a day.  WLKY
