Hardin County fire companies raised $157,591 during the 73rd WHAS Crusade for Children to help local kids with health care, education, and emotional support — donations came from roadblocks and events organized by area teams.
Thirteen local fire departments raised more than $150,000 for a Crusade benefiting Kentucky children.
The funds will support charity programs in the community.

As summer heats up, Radcliff Deputy Fire Marshal Tommy Crane warns that car temperatures can jump quickly (up to 19°F in 10 minutes) and urges caregivers to check the backseat to avoid dangerous heat for children, calling 911 immediately if a child is found unattended.
