  • The 38th season of the Historic Downtown Walking Tour starts soon, honoring the legacy of the late Charles Logsdon (former Hardin County sheriff) and inviting locals to explore historic downtown sites.  The News-Enterprise

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The Kentucky Center for Statistics reported that Kentucky’s unemployment rate in April dropped to 4.3 percent from 4.7 percent in April last year and matched the national rate. The civilian labor force also declined by 7,569 from March to April (data covers changes in key sectors).  Quicksie 98.3

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Elizabethtown High School students have installed a solar-assisted, pedal-powered bench at Freeman Lake Park in Hardin County, turning a classroom idea into a community asset. The bench won an innovation challenge in 2023 (spurring real-world engineering practice) and will soon get a weather cover.  WLKY

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Lincoln Trail District Health Department has been reaccredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board for the next five years. Officials say the certification proves its commitment to quality public health services & diverse programs, including harm reduction, maternal & child health, and environmental care.  Quicksie 98.3

  • Central Hardin High School's quick recall team finished its weekend in Atlanta with 5 wins and 5 losses at the 2026 High School National Championship Tournament.  The News-Enterprise
