CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Officials from the Grayson Co. Sheriff’s Office + Grayson Co. Emergency Management + Caneyville Fire Department are searching for a 90-year-old man from Indiana, Gregory L. Irvin, who was last seen at 2:00 a.m. Monday on the 400 block of Morgantown Street on Hwy 79 in Caneyville. K105
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Thirteen Bullitt County firefighters—coming from Shepherdsville, Zoneton, and Mount Washington—were sent to Laurel County on Memorial Day to help local crews fight fires and recover from an EF-4 tornado that hit on May 16 and killed 19 people along a 55-mile path. They will work for 63 hours before returning on Thursday to relieve local firefighters. WLKY
- ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear announced that federal approval will let Kentucky provide healthy meals to 450,000 children during the summer break—each eligible student will receive a one-time benefit of $120 for nutritious food. Families with students not automatically enrolled may apply—applications are accepted until August 15. K105
