- ➤ CASA of the Heartland will host its largest annual Farm to Fork fundraiser on June 14, where community members will enjoy a Kentucky Proud dinner made from locally sourced ingredients + the event will support local initiatives. The News-Enterprise
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sen. Steve Meredith said Memorial Day is a day to honor those who died for our freedom and support veterans and their families— he urged everyone to remember that their sacrifice means we must care for one another and keep their legacy alive. K105
- ➤ Central Kentucky’s 502 area code is expected to run out of phone numbers by the third quarter of 2027—making local calls require 10 digits even though current numbers stay unchanged. The Kentucky Public Service Commission will hold meetings in Bardstown, Georgetown, Louisville, Carrollton and Frankfort to gather local opinions on the proposed overlay. WLKY
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Baptist Health Hardin held a wreath laying ceremony Friday to honor fallen soldiers and remember their sacrifices. Staff, faculty and volunteers gathered to place wreaths — marking the first ceremony of its kind at the hospital. The News-Enterprise
