- ➤ A Radcliff church is hosting a free safety class this Friday to review measures aimed at preventing incidents like those in Salt Lake City in January. Community members are invited to join the session to learn ways to keep worship sites secure. The News-Enterprise
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ In March, unemployment in the Lincoln Trail District fell across nearly all counties, with the district average at 5.3% & the state average at 4.6%, compared to 5.1% and 4.8% in March 2025 and February, respectively. Hardin County showed a slight rise from February but still improved from last March. Quicksie 98.3
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Area communities received $6 million in state funding for recycling, composting, and hazardous waste projects, announced last week by Governor Andy Beshear. Hardin County and others will use the funds to upgrade waste management efforts (grants cover equipment and drop-off events). Quicksie 98.3
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fort Knox will open post on Memorial Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for visits to 118 cemeteries, and the installation will hold a ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central with remarks, wreath-laying, music and a 21-gun salute. Quicksie 98.3
