- ➤ A Hardin County man lost $20,000 in a scam when a virus pop-up led him to call a fake support number and fraudsters using names like (Roy) and (Shawn) tricked him into giving his bank details to deposit money in a Bitcoin ATM, and police say local banks have seen a surge in scams costing tens of thousands. - ➤ A Kentucky State trooper based in Elizabethtown was arrested for driving under the influence. The News-Enterprise
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Heart of Kentucky Chorus will present its spring show at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24 at Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, featuring classic gospel songs—tickets cost $15 with children 12 and under free—and it will benefit Living Waters Guatemala Partnership. Quicksie 98.3

- ➤ FEMA approved Gov. Beshear’s requests—adding 24 counties to the earlier 13—for Individual Assistance to help 37 counties affected by last month’s flooding. Residents and business owners in these areas should apply online or call FEMA to get support. K105
