COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Families are invited to Hardin County EMS's Teddy Bear Clinic on Wednesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at EMS headquarters on 170 North Provident Way; children will learn to use 911 and perform first aid while seeing EMS equipment.   • Radcliff Woman’s Club will host Pasta, Performance, and Pastries at the Colvin Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 (tickets are $15, children under 5 are free, and proceeds will support local food pantries and community aid).  Quicksie 98.3

  • Gov. Beshear said Ford agreed to new terms for the former BlueOval SK facility in Glendale and will invest $2B in making energy storage batteries plus create 2,100 full-time jobs, while a second site might soon shift to battery production.  WLKY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host the Pathfinder Academy for rising sixth- through 12th-grade students from June 8 to 12, offering hands-on classes in science, technology, and crafts. Registration is open on a first-come basis for interested students.  Quicksie 98.3

HEALTH NEWS

  • Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky recorded 1,110 drug overdose deaths in 2025, down 50.8% from 2021 and marking the fourth year of declines. In Grayson County, six overdose fatalities were reported last year—up from fewer than five in 2024.  K105
