COMMUNITY NEWS

CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Hardin County man was arrested on Friday afternoon when the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Bardstown Road east of Elizabethtown—police seized 17 pounds of methamphetamine, 54 grams of cocaine, 16 oxycodone pills and small amounts of marijuana and steroids, and the 48-year-old faces multiple trafficking and possession charges while further suspects are expected to be charged. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, KCTCS is observing Dual Credit Week through April 18 to spotlight that more than 36,000 high school students enrolled in dual credit courses last year, including over 29,000 in the fall who saved nearly $15 million in tuition. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College reported that over 2,200 students completed dual credit courses—saving more than $1 million—and new scholarship programs have been introduced to further expand access. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hardin County telecommunicators are being honored during Dispatch Week, which runs through April 19, for their work in quickly sending emergency help during severe weather and other crises & for keeping the community safe. Local organizations may visit the dispatch center at the Hardin County Government Building to show their support. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ At its first meeting on Tuesday, Radcliff City Council approved three annexation tracts along South Dixie Boulevard and rezoned them to commercial use while also updating vehicle pursuit policies based on recommendations from law enforcement groups—Police Chief Jeff Cross said the changes do not alter current procedures. The council recognized Assistant Fire Chief Bob Mahanna for his dedicated service and thanked firefighters for their flood recovery work, with the next meeting set for May 12. Quicksie 98.3
