On Friday, May 1 at 9 a.m., Lou Lou on Market will host the 6th annual Kegs and Eggs brunch in Elizabethtown, featuring live music, food, and a bar with Guinness on tap (a portion of proceeds will support Apron Inc. to help restaurant workers in crisis).
On Monday, April 20, the Elizabethtown Police Department will host a community resource fair at 5:30 p.m. at ElizabethTown Sports Park and a free 5K run/walk at 6:30 p.m. (Beach Snow Snack Shack will offer free treats) as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Smith is promoting a new CASA specialty license plate this April during Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month to fund advocates for children in need. The $44 fee supports CASA’s mission to assist children within the court system.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet unveiled new highway maps (Team Kentucky 2026-2027) that show historic horse landscapes, themed trails and ADA accessible attractions.
The maps are available today at rest areas and welcome centers where drivers can download an electronic copy.

Hardin County Animal Shelter in E-town features two adoptable dogs this week: Bonnie, a 6-month-old Mountain Cur mix (34 lbs) and Paisley, a 4-year-old Pittie (52 lbs).
