ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Kentucky's governor announced on Thursday that a 66-year-old Campbell County man died from floodwaters, raising the statewide flood death toll to six—he added that funeral costs will be covered as families grieve and urged residents to avoid driving through flooded roads while rivers recede.  WLKY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Elizabethtown Mayor Jeff Gregory announced at a Hardin County Chamber luncheon that the city is planning a new outdoor music venue at Buffalo Lake—designed to boost tourism while connecting Commerce Drive from Mulberry Street to Springfield Road. E-Town Tourism is asking for community feedback on partnerships and ideas as the council approved up to $47 million in bonds to fund the project, which will be complete by October 2026.  Quicksie 98.3

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Lincoln Trail District Health Department offered free Tdap shots yesterday at the former West Point School building for residents affected by floodwaters or helping with cleanup and is providing them today from noon until 3:30 p.m. at the Hardin County EMS building (170 North Provident Way) for individuals 18 and older who have not had a booster in over five years.  Quicksie 98.3

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Kentucky hunters begin the General Spring Turkey Hunting Season Saturday, which runs for 23 days until May 4 with a statewide limit of two legal turkeys defined as a male turkey or one with a visible beard. KFW research found many younger turkeys this winter, making the season a favorable opportunity for inexperienced hunters.  Quicksie 98.3
