- ➤ West Point has seen severe flooding that has affected 75 to 100 homes and displaced many residents near the Salt River—Red Cross set up a shelter for those in need. Officials say the floodwaters will recede in 10 days and cleanup plans are underway. WLKY

- ➤ The Falls of Rough Fire Department rescued nine people and two dogs from flooded cabins at Green Farm (near the Green Farm Mansion) at 276 Falls of Rough Church Lane on Sunday morning at about 10:20 after the Rough River spilled over its banks. K105

- ➤ Diesel tech students from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College are competing in the statewide SkillsUSA competition—showcasing their talent in diesel technology. The News-Enterprise

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Elizabethtown officials announced that sewer rates will rise to help cover costs of maintaining the aging system — the new rates will take effect soon. The News-Enterprise
- ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear gave an update on continuing flooding across Kentucky on Tuesday morning and warned drivers to avoid flooded roads — even as rivers crest and recede, they still pose danger. He said 357 soldiers and airmen helped with emergency operations while 457 highways closed amid risky cleanup efforts and plans for disaster relief were set in motion. WLKY
