CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for armed and dangerous fugitive Jonathan Ruby, 45, of White Plains (Hopkins) who fled on foot after a physical fight following a traffic accident and is wanted on felony warrants for controlled substance trafficking, fleeing police, and parole violations; he is a white male, six feet one inch tall and about 260 pounds with brown hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a red shirt and a black jacket. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, Hardin County Fiscal Court met for its second monthly session where Jeff Stone from ESCI presented findings on emergency services and funding options—including a recommended levy to address fire and EMS needs. Magistrates voted 6—3 against changing the Pearl Hollow Landfill lease as they decided to focus on the county budget, and the court will meet again on April 8. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ The Elizabethtown Planning Commission met Tuesday evening and reviewed proposals including a public hearing on a zoning map amendment for 707 Saint John Road requested by property owner Hanna Yun to change from R-1 Low-Density Residential to R-6 High-Density Multi-Family Residential and C-3 Regional Commercial for a mixed-use project. City planning staff urged screening measures and a roundabout — steps meant to protect nearby properties — while the commission tabled further discussion until the April 22 meeting and recommended approval on amendments for 475 Hodgenville Road and 4601 North Dixie Avenue.
