  • A memorial service honoring Brenda Macy (former Hardin County Public Library director) is set for Friday to celebrate her 25 years of leadership and lasting impact on the community.  The News-Enterprise
  • CASA of the Heartland launches its Pinwheels for Prevention campaign on Thursday (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the EPD headquarters on 300 South Mulberry Street, and the event honors National Child Abuse Prevention Month with lunch provided by Papa Haoles Hawaiian Foods.  Quicksie 98.3
  • Local families will join a community egg hunt this weekend to celebrate Easter at a neighborhood park. The family-friendly event offers eggs, fun and a chance for neighbors to connect.  The News-Enterprise

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Hardin County Board of Education amended the 2025-2026 calendar, setting May 21 as the final day for K–12 students. It scheduled high school graduations on May 21, 22, and 23 at Bulldog Stadium, Bruin Gym, and Ray Story Stadium respectively with livestream details on the district website.  Quicksie 98.3
