A Radcliff man accused of attacking a deputy jailer will have a competency hearing to decide if he is mentally fit for trial.

Unemployment rates in the Lincoln Trail District increased in January compared to the previous year, with Hardin County rising to 5.8 percent and Grayson County recording 7.3 percent—only Meade County dropped from 5.7 percent to 5.4 percent.

The state average for January was 5.5 percent, up from 5 percent in both December 2024 and January 2024.

On Thursday, the Radcliff City Council approved a $198,366.26 bid from Riverview Contracting to renovate Fire Department Station Two—an update that will add separate bathrooms and new sleeping quarters for firefighters.

The council held a first reading on ordinances to annex and rezone property along the east side of South Dixie Boulevard while Mayor Duvall said Green River Waste will contact residents— and the council will meet again on April 7.

Elizabethtown held a public engagement session Wednesday evening at the Historic State Theater to discuss expanding historic preservation, with planning director Joe Reverman noting the discussion was spurred by feedback on the College Street zoning change.

The city will continue reviewing potential properties at the Historic Preservation Commission meeting (May 8) as local experts outlined benefits (including tax incentives and neighborhood stabilization).
