- ➤ Students from Hardin County donated 2,500 items to UofL Health Brown Cancer Center on Thursday. Kids from Bluegrass Middle School put together 129 care packages to honor Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman—who had a double mastectomy in 2023—and she surprised them when she received the donations. WLKY
- ➤ Atlas and Ollie are two dogs looking for Furever homes at Hardin County Animal Shelter at 220 Peterson Drive, where visitors are welcome Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. A Rabies Clinic will be held on April 26 from 10 a.m.—2 p.m. to vaccinate pets and answer questions. Quicksie 98.3
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Jordan Henning of Rineyville was convicted on Thursday of first degree manslaughter after he shot his wife Ashley five times following her birthday party at their home while both were on active duty (stationed at Fort Knox), and the jury recommended a 20-year sentence although his sentencing date is not yet set. - ➤ Jordan M. Henning from Rineyville was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter for fatally shooting his wife Ashley during an argument at her birthday party in June 2023 while both served at Ft. Knox, and a sentencing date remains to be set. K105
