GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 13th, Governor Andy Beshear announced that over $540,000 in grants were awarded to 19 cities for recreational projects through the Kentucky Trail Towns program. • West Point Mayor Richard Ciresi said he was caught off guard when the City Council voted on March 10 not to renew the lease for the former West Point School building, which the city leases from Hardin County Schools until May 31—he believes the building may become abandoned if it is not used for civic events again.  Quicksie 98.3
  • Lawmakers passed changes to House Bill 520 on March 14, 2025 that will let police withhold public records for open investigations if they say disclosure could pose harm.
