CULTURE NEWS

  • Shoppers will explore the inaugural Spring Fling Craft Fair in Elizabethtown on Saturday. Dozens of vendors will offer handmade pieces for the coming season as the community celebrates local creativity.  The News-Enterprise

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail is hosting job fairs this week, with one event running Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church and a second running Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Breckinridge County Public Library in Hardinsburg.  Quicksie 98.3

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Officials are considering a name for the new elementary school in Vine Grove ahead of its groundbreaking at 10 a.m. Thursday on Trojan Way, next to North Middle School’s campus.  The News-Enterprise
  • Congressman Brett Guthrie is accepting art submissions from local students for his annual Congressional Art Competition. Submissions are due by April 1 and winners will be featured at the Capitol and exhibited at his Bowling Green office with an April reception.  Quicksie 98.3

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell and Congressman James Comer sent a letter to Sen. Mitch McConnell urging a two-year delay of new hemp restrictions set to take effect this November (officials say the delay will help farmers plan seed purchases and labor contracts).  WKYU-FM
