ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet reminds residents to avoid outdoor burning near woodlands or brushlands during Spring Wildfire Hazard Season through April 30; burning is banned from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to curb human-caused fires. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ Environmental groups in Kentucky gathered recently to urge lawmakers to boost funding for conservation initiatives after a Nature Conservancy report showed the state ranks last among its peers. Lawmakers are considering House Bill 166 to create a Chief Resiliency Officer — a step that could improve disaster preparedness. WKYU-FM
